Christmas continued

The Sunday School kids did their Christmas program for church today.  They portrayed the Christmas story.

Also, since I had my camera with me & the church has officially been sold & land for the new church purchased, I wanted to get a picture of the big stained glass windows.

Cantata

Since church services were axed because of the blowing & drifting snow Sunday, we had our Christmas service last night - at least some of it.  Look forward to pictures of the Sunday School kids after next Sunday.

I was part of our Christmas cantata this year and had one of Pastor's kids take pics for me while we were singing.

Before the show, there was a little "surprise" for Uncle Larry.  He gets teased because everyone next to him happens to be taller.  :)

Thankfully he's a good sport about it!

Can you see Larry??

Uncle Paul played Joseph & did an awesome job.  He had 3 pages of dialogue to memorize!!

Recipes

One of my friends asked me to post these recipes - so this is just for her.  :)

Brown Sugar Cookies

2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup Crisco (I use butter flavored)

2 eggs

4 teaspoons vanilla

4 scant teaspoons cream of tarter

4 teaspoons baking soda

4 cups flour

Mix all ingredients.  Roll into balls and bake at 375* for 10 minutes or until golden.

Peanut Butter Dog Treats

1/2 cup flour

3/4 cup oatmeal

1/4 cup wheat germ

1/4 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup oil

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup water

Combine all ingredients, mixing on low speed.  Make into 1 tablespoon sized balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.  Flatten balls with a fork.  Bake at 325* for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden.

Family Christmas

We had our family Christmas at Grandma's last night.  Unfortunately, it was a pretty short celebration since everyone left early because we had blowing & drifting snow.  We also had our Christmas services canceled at church today because the wind is still blowing.

Kaela is working hard on her fuzzy poster.  I used to love these also when I was her age.

O Christmas Tree

My mom just bought me this Christmas tree for Christmas yesterday.  It is very important that those who know me well know that this was my FIRST Christmas present this year!!  :P

Also, on Sunday night, I went to the Ecumenical Choir concert in town which a couple of other friends were in.

Christmas Caroling

Reindeer antlers are awesome!  These had bells & twinkly lights.

Fun at the park

Today I had Dad drop me & the dogs off at the park & we walked back to Mom & Dad's from there.   Diego & Dante had a blast running through the snow.  It was quite funny to watch them bouncing along in the snow to reach ALL the trees.  :)

Check out the tongue - he is loving this!

This is Dante after he jumped in a snow bank that was a little too deep.

Apparently, something smells good here - to them at least.

Fun at the Mall of America

This past weekend I went up to the cities with some friends to do some Christmas shopping at the Mall of America.  We went up Friday night & stayed with my aunt & uncle.  On Saturday we made our trip to the mall.  I don't think that anyone bought too much (you would have to carry all those bags).  We mostly went up to have fun anyway.  We ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe & just had fun!!

Face in Hole

I discovered this addictive website the other day - Face in Hole.  You can upload one of your own photos to fill in the hole where someone else's face was.  Here's a few that I have saved:

I tried to find a picture of Austin without hair on his forehead, but I couldn't find any.  The kid has too much hair!!
