The Ducks

A couple of friends & I went to Prairie du Chien Saturday. We went to the Fort Crawford Medical Museum, Cabela's, and stopped by the Villa Louis to see the ducks.

Bottoms up!!

There was even a goose among the ducks.
I felt bad for it though because it was injured. :(

Terminology course - complete!

I passed the final exam for my advanced medical terminology course yesterday!! I'm waiting until Monday to begin the medical transcriptionist course. Now I am half done! :)

I also went to the doctor on Monday. They took x-rays of my feet & he said that he got really good correction on my toes. I just have to wait for the swelling to continue going down - I can't wait to see what the actual results are!! I can try to wear regular shoes next week!

Only 4 more chapters to go!!

This is the book for the medical terminology part of my transcriptionist course. It has 22 chapters & I have now completed the first 18 chapters. :) I am on track to complete this course next week! That means that I will be half way through my course & then I will be able to start the transcribing course. I am so excited!! It has been a very interesting study of the body. God surely does amazing things - creating such a complex body that does so many things. I can't believe all this stuff is inside me!

My Little "Friend"

Last night I was shutting the curtains on my patio doors & I noticed that I had a "friend". He is pictured below & yes, that is a bat. Ewww! He was stuck in between my screen door & the outside door - at least he wasn't inside. I was finally able to rest easily when I got him to fly away, far, far away!! :)

My toes are also doing really well. The bruising is almost gone - now if only the swelling would go away. :)

I also went to Mt. Hosmer today. It was such a beautiful day & it is always such a great view. Too bad I didn't have my camera! :(

Another Update

I went to the doctor again yesterday & everything is still looking great! I received splints to help my toes heal straight & I can now take showers!! I have to go back in 2 weeks & have x-rays taken. If everything looks good I may be able to wear normal shoes again. I took a picture of my feet, they are still quite swollen but I think that they will look much straighter when the swelling goes down because they are mostly swollen where the bunion was. :)
